Every year something special happens around Halloween. One night only, the corpses of rock and roll past are awakened through the necromantic rites administered by the high priests and priestesses of Hot Roxx. On that special night, the disembodied spirits take over the corporeal forms of some of the best acts the Twin Cities have to offer, until they are exorcised by rock and roll and returned to the grave once again. This year, the rite will be performed on Friday, November 1 at the Turf Club. Hot Roxx DJs will be presenting the Blackberry Brandy Boys saluting all the spirits that created cosmic country (featuring a resurrection of Chris Gaines), Mauled Glass as the ghoulish (even in life) Alice Cooper, Tramps Like Us as evil Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, and Wangs as the band the Beatles might have been, Wings. Between sets, Hot Roxx will conjure up the powers of all things ‘70s rock. It’s the Halloween Roxxtravaganza.
