The Fitzgerald Theater Presents The Return Of The Legendary Shawn Phillips

The Fitzgerald Theater is proud to present Legendary Singer/Songwriter Shawn Phillips on July 7, For One Night Only!

Impresario and promotor Bill Graham called Phillips “The best kept secret in the music business”. Shawn taught Joni Mitchell her first guitar techniques, and gave George Harrison of the Beatles his first Sitar lessons (having himself spent time with Ravi Shankar). He wrote the music to Donovan’s “Season Of The Witch” and has played with many of the finest musicians in the world including Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood. Phillips has 27 Albums to his name, spanning 6 decades, and is known for his refusal to follow the dictates of commercialism in the music industry.

Phillips has continued to evolve his creative skills in concert. His onstage technical set up allows him to trigger the sounds of an entire Symphony Orchestra in real time. His set list features many of his famed and well loved songs, which he plays in a way that closest reflects the studio albums.

His powerful new show this summer is not to be missed!
