Arensky: Quartet in A Minor for Violin, Viola and Two Cellos

The SPCO brings core chamber music repertoire to the historic Turf Club, a mainstay of the Twin Cities music scene, located in Saint Paul’s Midway neighborhood. Arensky’s Quartet in A Minor is often considered one of the finest Russian string quartets ever written and an homage to his beloved friend Tchaikovsky. Mozart’s A Major Flute Quartet stands in contrast to the Arensky quartet with its sunny lyricism and wit.
