Evans Blue

Evans Blue’s fourth album with long-time producer Trevor Kustiak, GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES, was released April 17, 2012 on Sounds+Sights to rave reviews from fans, music writers and radio alike. The first single “This Time It’s Different” is a Top 30 rock radio hit nationally and a #1 song on SiriusXM Octane, The Buzz in Houston, 89X in Detroit and The Banana in Flint, as well as Top 5 on KUPD Phoenix, and the song debuted in the Top 25 Rock Singles on iTunes. Evans Blue has progressed as a band, and the difference comes through in each one of the album’s twelve songs.

Dan Chandler elaborates, “With the last record, we were writing songs before I even met the guys in person. Since then, we’ve grown a ton as a band: the chemistry between each member, the relationships, and the trust we have developed with each other.” He continues, “The album has a lot to say this time around, and it comes from every one of us in the band.” GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES takes the listener on a lyrical and musical journey through the highs and lows of human emotion and offers a few surprises along the way, including the haunting instrumental title track, comprised entirely of piano and a one-man, 14-piece string orchestra. The fan favorite “Warrior” is a dark rock ballad that captivates from the first listen, and the closing song “Halo” just debuted alongside “This Time It’s Different” in the Top 10 on the SiriusXM Octane “Big Uns Countdown.” “Live To Die,” “Alone Not Lonely” and “Beyond The Stars” are also early standout tracks.

The members of Evans Blue are located all over North America, with two in Canada and the others in St Louis and Dayton. The band's previous three albums have collectively sold a million records. The rock hit "Erase My Scars" continues to resonate with fans worldwide and raise awareness for the band's charity, KeepingChase.com. The members of Evans Blue unanimously credit their passionate and dedicated fans (aka the “Evans|Blue Nation”) for their continued positive, forward momentum. “Seeing what has happened with the last record and seeing the acceptance and the approval, the people showing up, and the crowds growing, has given me more confidence; I feel like I have a lot of people backing me up and supporting where we’re headed as a band,” Chandler adds. Evans Blue hit the road in July to headline the GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES 2012 TOUR, which will cover the entire US between now and the end of the year. This is a band that has come a long way through a tough string of challenges, and every experience has made them stronger. Whoever said “rock is dead” is about to get his ass kicked.
