Fletcher Coulee is named after a ghost that haunted Luc Parker one time so he made a 2020 socially distanced Garageband album about that and other stuff that haunts him including but not excluding local unrest, rest, working, not working, drinking, getting up, and losing your seat while drinking, and love and lack thereof.
Luc is a grizzled Mpls veteran of such Grossly underrated local combos as Your Loving Tiger, Chickadee Mountain Martyrs, Dentist. and Omega Defender, as well as forays into composing for low-budget musicals, foxy boxing, and such and such. Thankfully, his distance pod offered to humor his outlandish notions of forming a band to play these songs IRL, just in time for Twin Cities Honky Tonk Revival of 2021!
At its best, the outfit can be described as if Bob Dylan's 1975 Rolling Thunder Revue tour treated Joni Mitchell and Allen Ginsburg like they should've been treated instead of dick-moved. The ensemble is #blessed to feature the talents of Bill Rohla, most recently of The Chinchees, Nato Coles & BDB, and Gumby, Graham Faulkner of Bouncer Fighter, Wild Child, and Neotypes, and Alex Forred of Ogre Smash Death Boom, and Skol Liquor. It is probably not punk, but everyone in the band has enough points by now to make up the difference.
