Corey Medina & Brothers is a Native-led blues-rock band, based in the heart of Anishinaabe territory in Bemidji, Minnesota. Formed in 2015 by Dine’ (Navajo) singer-songwriter and guitarist Corey Medina, the band has evolved into a powerful four-piece group known for their raw emotion, soulful grit, and immersive live performances. Corey Medina & Brothers has expanded their dynamic range adding new depth to their sound and tone. The foundation of the band was built on brotherhood, trust, and a shared belief that music should be meaningful and shared. CMB wants people to feel their music in their hearts and feet, inviting them to sing along, sway, and dance together.
Described as a unique combination of blues and rock, their sound is undeniably blues-based, but infused with emotion that defies genre, sometimes gentle or intense, but always honest. Their music offers a space for people to reflect, feel, and connect. The band explores themes of resilience, belonging, and getting through hard times. Corey Medina & Brothers is about truth and connection. Their mission is to uplift people who are too often unheard and to create music that invites people into a deeper relationship with themselves, with each other, and with the earth. Their message is clear: everyone’s place in this world matters.
