Born and raised in St. Paul, MN Isaiah aka Zay Starr grew up singing at a young age in his local church choir. Isaiah began his career as a member of an all boys group called UON, eventually leading him to find the present day Zay Starr as a solo artist. The 24 year old Hip-Hop/R&B singer/songwriter takes inspiration for his music from his biggest influences of legendary artists like Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, and the temptations-- Zay Starr has paved a way for himself within the local artist scene gaining much success as a solo performing artist such as making it in the top 5 artist competition for the hit TV show Who’s Up Next and has opened for mainstream superstars like Young Dolph, Jholiday, & DaBbay. There is no doubt, Zay Starr is definitely a star of tomorrow.
