She draws her inspiration for sources both musical and non. Previously her music was inspired by the spiritual concept of involution and it’s opposite evolution. She spent much time alone writing and reading books of others who shared a similar solitary state- such as Diderot’s “La Religieuse.” During this time she also spent weeks alone in a small cabin in the woods producing her music. She listened to pop music, French art music & classical composers at this time, but preferred silence and writing.
Presently Nicole is still influenced by pop music (top 40 artists & K-pop) and classical music (Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, Debussy). She’s also a huge fan of Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel. Aside from music, Nicole is inspired from living a happy life. Anything that makes Nicole happy helps to write amazing music: love, graphite drawing, painting, ballet, film, dogs, meditating, reading french novels, reading (in general) and writing are all very important. Presently Nicole lives near a lake in Minneapolis. She is working on her second album.
