McKenzie Eddy

McKenzie Eddy is a double agent: businesswoman by day, musician by night. She is one of the original founders of DD172 along with Damon Dash and photographer and graphic artist, Raquel Horn. The current president of Bluroc Records, McKenzie A&R’ed 2009’s Blakroc, a project featuring The Black Keys and a number of hip-hop acts including Mos Def, Jim Jones, Raekwon, to name a few. She also A&R’ed Curren$y’s Pilot Talk and Pilot Talk II (an album that she is also a featured singer on along with Wiz Khalifa) as well as Ski Beatz’ 24 Hour Karate School, all released in 2010.

McKenzie has worked on collaboration projects with Adidas including Bluroc’s Brooklyn Bowl show in June 2010 and a 3-day tour in November of 2010 where she and fellow Bluroc artists played shows in Toronto, Burlington, VT, and New York. Additionally, she managed a project with DD172 and Pepsi that featured a music and art showcase in the Dash Gallery. Musically, McKenzie is currently working on three projects: one produced by Ski Beatz, another by Marc Brownstein, bassist of The Disco Biscuits and and the third by Truth and Soul, most famous for their work with Lee Fields and Aloe Blacc. She has creatively worked with artists as varied as Wiz Khalifa, Curren$y, The Disco Biscuits, Sean O’Connell, Da$h, Nicole Wray, Terri Walker, and Eric Church.
