Wednesday: Ian Thomas Alexy And The Deserters | Silverback Colony

Ian Alexy – best known for his work with his brother, Teague Alexy in Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank – brings his own brand of road-tested, gritty, blues-folk, refined by his many years as a seasoned performer. Gabriel Douglas, of 4onthefloor, and front man of Silverback Colony is brings his guitar-heavy, rocking soundscapes of Americana and earnest vocals, evoking the sounds of the North Country. These two are pairing up for an alt-country show that is sure to rock heavy.

Thursday: Wild!!Wing | STNNNG | Seawhores

Made up of local powerhouses Josh Journey-Heinz, Chris Smalley, Matthew Kazama, and Aby Wolf, Wild!!Wing are bringing dark, synth-heavy rock n roll to the Turf Club. Joined by a staple of the local scene, STNNNG – noise rockers, who just got back from a European tour – as well as DIY punks from way back, Seawhores. Together, these three will represent all sides of the brutal beauty of Minneapolis rock.

Friday: Sam Cassidy 7” Release Show

Minneapolis Americana singer-songwriter Sam Cassidy continuously brings no-nonsense alt-country, backed by members of Charn and All Tomorrow’s Petty. Serving as a preview to his forthcoming LP, Cassidy is releasing a split 7”, featuring “Tell Him” accompanied by “Sleeper Car” and “Hard Road,” a b-side from his future full-length. Cassidy will be joined by The Farewell Circuit for his release this Friday.

Saturday: Mayda Busy Signals Part 1 Release Show

Local bundle of energy Mayda is taking the Turf Club by storm for the last show the venue will see all summer. This funk-pop queen stands at four-foot-ten, but brings a sound big enough to headline festivals, break through in South Korea, and soundtrack popular television shows such as The Real World. Known for her unmistakable style, catchy pop anthems, and fierce stage presence, Mayda puts on a must-see show.
