The Desert Vest is an alternative rock band based in Minneapolis, Minnesota who were formed in 2008 by guitarist/vocalist Lucas Price and drummer Nick Hauboldt. The band plays a mix of sloppy garage and loud pop-punk. They recorded one LP (You Can't Push A Ghost) as one of the first local punk bands to record an album across state-lines. In the Summer of 2010, Lucas Price (vocals/guitar) found Aaron Kraemer (bass), and Mike Hanzelka (drums) through a bulletin website. Following a strong DIY ethic and through being part of the Minneapolis network of bands connected by zines and Internet band networks, they eventually came into contact with Merritt Benton, who is scheduled to record out their second LP in the winter of 2010.
