Skies Alive on Myspace
People are reactionary. Fueled by a love for all music & a distaste for current trends; Skies Alive got together to pay homage to the days when pop-punk had feeling. Nick and Matt got together first, having been best friends for years, and added Ben Neitge on drums after a series of auditions held at Nick’s parents’ house. Their first EP “Blue & Yellow” featured Matt on lead vocals and teemed with potential.
The band has played all through the midwest with shows supporting Sing It Loud, The Morning Light, You Me and Everyone We Know, and Farewell while touring with fellow Minnesota mainstays Now & Forever and Omaha's Get Down. After re-evaluating, the band underwent a facelift. They replaced a guitar player and added vocalist Andrew to the mix. Hungry and renewed, Skies Alive released their first EP with the new faces on November 21, 2009.
