Today two pillars of Midwestern hip-hop joined forces and announced an exciting new collaborative partnership. Veteran Chicago emcee Longshot and Minneapolis super producer Lazerbeak have teamed up for Parades, 14 tracks of blistering beats and dynamic lyricism due out this June, just in time for cookout season. HipHopDX premiered the upbeat first single and lead-off track “Just Dance” earlier today, and the song can now be streamed HERE for all to enjoy.
Bursting at the seams with crunchy organ stabs and dusty breakbeats, Longshot invites us all to temporarily drop our hangups and let loose over a raucous Lazerbeak lava banger. The duo have announced a hometown album release party for Parades taking place at the legendary 7th St Entry in downtown Minneapolis on a fittingly festive day, the 4th of July. It’s party time.
