SiR is part of the award-winning songwriting/production team Woodworks Records based out of Inglewood, California. While spending the last few years primarily focusing on creating music for other great artists, such as Ginuwine, Gmalone, and The Pussycat Dolls, or collaborating with fellow Californian, super producer, Hit Boy, as well as his Surf Club partner Chase N. Cashe, SiR is ready to display his talents through his debut album, entitled Wooden Voodoo. SiR wrote all of the music on the album with the exception of 1 song.
The Project is full of features from fellow Woodworks members D-Smoke and other artist , while also producing “Indy 500” himself. Wooden Voodoo includes production from the likes of Jason “J. LBS” Pounds, Tiffany “T-Gooch” Gouche, Daniel “D-Smoke” Farris, and Stacy Owens, which creates a variety of sounds and make the album quite versatile.
SiR, born as “Sir” Darryl Farris, started doing music at a very young age and is just one of the many musicians/artists in his family. Under the name Darryl Farris, leaked songs such as “You”, “Give Me Your Heart”, and “Butterflies”, created a small buzz for himself on the internet ranging from music blogs to YouTube. Though “You” is the only one of those songs to make the track list, the hope is to give the people not only what they want but what they’ve been waiting and looking forward to. Wooden Voodoo creates a full spectrum of SiR’s own work and passion for music and creative qualities that surround it.
