Lafawndah follows up 2016's Tan EP with the HONEY COLONY mixtape, a collection of re-imagined songs by her peers and allies KLEIN, Bonnie Banane, Laurel Halo and Kelsey Lu. The HONEY COLONY mixtape finds Lafawndah casting acapellas from those artists inside her singular sound world of martial percussion flurries and skewed modal pop, using her funhouse map of past, present, and future musics to chart common ground between a group of highly idiosyncratic voices.
