Following on from a breakthrough year in 2024, the talented indie-pop group Borderline from New Zealand are taking things to a new level, signing with music powerhouse EMPIRE.

Borderline took strides into the spotlight in 2024 with their single 'Heartbeat' which delivered a vibrant yet familiar sound combining the band's signature guitar-pop with powerful energy and emotional resonance. The single landed in the Offical Hot 20 Aotearoa Singles Chart and Radioscope Charts and drew support in Australia from the likes of RAGE, Spotify and Apple Music (New Music Friday, New in Pop, Alt Pop. The music video was featured by RollingStone Aus as video of the week.

Wasting no time in continuing to charge forward, Borderline will be sharing more music in March with new single 'When It's Raining' dropping ahead of the band's North American debut at SXSW followed by shows in New York and Los Angeles.

The band's dynamic performances and collection of smooth, upbeat original songs have grown their live audiences in New Zealand and Australia. They have taken to the stage with the infectious energy that has become their hallmark for summer festivals, headline shows and support slots for iconic NZ and Australian acts such as Zed, Drax Project and Teenage Dads.
