Space Carpet originated in Duluth, MN from the collaboration of singer/songwriters Rory Isakson and Jennifer West. What started as a simple pastime evolved into a five piece band that isn't easily categorized by one genre of music. The collaboration itself seems to define the group in terms of dark vs light/happy vs sad. The main idea is that no single member of the group has their parts dictated for them. Every member of Space Carpet brings their own art to the table, hence the lack of simple categorization... Long story short (too late), Space Carpet is here to add gasoline to the fine and make you want to burn.
