“The truth of fiction is that it’s through the use of fiction we tell the truth.” This could best summarize the ethos behind Adjy: A musical endeavor birthed from the toil of composer Christoper Noyes’ mind.

…In 2012, following the Mayan eschaton of the camper Noyes was living in, a new home was found in St Petersburg, FL on a 30ft sailboat in the local marina. After Fixing up an abandoned house into a workable studio space and being filled to the brim with inspiration ranging from the anguish and rage fueled by the dishonesty within the performance art world, the joy, love and wide eyed wonder found in the eyes of a 2 year old foster child, the pain of lost connection with individuals, and the dream of crafting beautiful creations to bridge those gaps…

…the production of Adjy’s first music began. After entombing the ideas in digital format, the assembling of musicians to enact the stage performance began. After a long search, the right individuals were found and the band was formed! The EP Grammatology was released in 2014, and after a year of playing shows, and hiccuping in the form of financial blunders, the dream/band packed up everything and moved to an ex-camp/ ex-group home in Black Mountain, NC to practice, and craft full time fueled only by amalgamated indian food made on artist-budget, Super Smash Brothers, and Jose Chung’s from Outer Space.

With an emphasis on storytelling, Adjy cants deeply sincere hymns commemorating doubt, philosophy, the toil and trauma of attempting connection with others, and literary theory like a love lost, or a medical textbook -all through the autobiographical perspective, and personal myth-arc of Noyes. Like a post-modern romanticism; aware of the fictional nature of the story, but in love with what the story is telling, and thus telling more stories. In 2015 a Prelude to Adjy’s full length was released dubbed Another Flammarion Woodcut. Continuing the myth-arc, and inaugurating what ventures await.
