Yung Nino

Nino Ugene (born March 2, 1982) is Yung Nino, an American rapper, record producer, and the head of his own independent, fast-rising conglomerate, NuMoney Recordz (INC.) in Houston, Texas. Music was often times the only means for survival growing up in the 80's and early 90's, in a low income home in the ghettos on the north side of Houston. From gospel greats, V. Michael McKay, Yolanda Adams and John P. Key to secular Houston legends, "Geto Boys", "Big Mike", "Mike Dean" and "N.O Joe", just to name a few. He has performed/worked with them all while being in a gospel and then later an R&B group, “FLAJ”. After being “discovered” by Scarface of The Geto Boys in 1995, he signed with Interface Records. Yung Nino has worked on projects like The Geto Boy's "Resurrection" and Scarface’s “My Homies". Platinum and double-platinum respectively.

From starting his first label in the late 90’s, 502 Recordz, to the now ignited firestorm that is NuMoney Recordz. Established in 2005, with a new focus and direction, a label that incorporated both Hip Hop and R&B. From the birth of “SMOK” and then the “BLOCK BOYZ” emerged Yung Nino aka Major Money/GGPG. Yung Nino’s first single “I Get It In” under the moniker “Major Money”, in the independents chart, as well as his third release “All About The Money”, charted number 3 and 10, respectively.

From working with rap legends Bun-B and Willie-D on the video “I Get It In” directed by Dr. Teeth to his latest video, 100K, Yung Nino has had the internet on its edge. With millions of views on WorldStarHipHop and opening/headlining shows with the likes of 2Chainz, Plies, Lil Boosie, Young Jeezy, K Camp, Meek Mill, Kevin Gates and etc., to the now infamous F**K RICH GANG show in Jackson, MS with Lil Wayne, a NuMoney Inc. event. Yung Nino has truly come full-circle, as the headline-opening act, on the now announced GETO BOYS “Office Space Tour” this summer 2015.
