This Minneapolis party-ready five-piece brings together an unabashedly weird instrument setup by self-admitted weirdos. Swimsuit Area has postpunk pop sensibilities fused with industrial dissonance and no-wave abrasiveness fronted by Rebecca’s gloriously over-dramatic vocals. Bassists Eric & Bman with Manny on electric violin create harmony, melody, and noise held steady by Chizzy on drums.
