Based in Minneapolis, Leadfoot began his DJ career in 2018 by spinning at college parties and bars, while posting consistently on social media to garner a fanbase. Over time, his livestreams, mixes, and mashups conveyed that he was able to cherry pick tracks from a plethora of genres—both niche and mainstream—and stitch them together to create a unique sound.
He has since departed the college scene and set his sights on bringing this sound to a more mature, diverse, and queer audience, most recently DJing at well-established venues such as JetSet Underground, and previous experience with DJing drag shows. True to his name, Leadfoot has a penchant for faster tempos, abrasive noises, and energetic grooves, covering EDM, house, techno, hardstyle, drum & bass, dubstep, and hyperpop, to name a few. He also has the remarkable ability to play more relaxing sub-genres of dance music while maintaining an energetic undercurrent, tapping into chill and ambient house music, synthpop, and trip-hop.
Leadfoot began releasing music in 2013 under a previous alias, blending EDM, deep house, dubstep, pop, and trap into an eclectic sonic palette, and his catalog has only continued to grow.
