Devon Allman Band

Currently based out of St. Louis, Devon Allman was born in Corpus Christi, TX, where he grew up with his mother surrounded by a humble life. His first love affair with music came at a young age, eventually becoming a spiritual calling that wouldn't stop until forming his Southern rock jam band, Honeytribe, in 1999. While his breakthrough into the music industry may have been blunted by choosing not to use his illustrious surname, it allowed him to avoid a barrage of questions about his famous father that he was initially unsure of how to answer.

When Honeytribe began releasing albums and touring nationally, interviews began to reveal Devon as the son of one of the biggest names in rock music, Gregg Allman. Over the years, Devon has joined his illustrious dad as a special guest during The Allman Brothers Band’s series of shows at NYC's legendary Beacon Theater. And today he embraces who he is and where he’s been, knowing that he's paved his own way on his solo debut, Turquoise.

Produced and mixed by multiple Grammy-winner Jim Gaines, Turquoise was also recorded at his Bessie Blue Studios in Stantonville, TN as well as Ardent Studios in Memphis. Devon formed a core trio with Yonrico Scott (drums and percussion) and Myles Weeks (upright and electric bass) to make the album, which includes guest appearances from Luther Dickinson (guitar), Samantha Fish (vocals), Ron Holloway (sax), Bobby Schneck Jr. (guitar), and Rick Steff (Hammond B3 organ). Devon is also a member of Royal Southern Brotherhood, a Ruf Records band that includes Scott on drums along with Cyril Neville (percussion and vocals), Mike Zito (guitar and vocals), and Charlie Wooton (bass).
