Trevor Jackson

Named as one of Ebony’s “25 Young Guns of Black Hollywood”, Trevor Jackson’s fearless artistry is exploding in 2020. A true triple threat, Jackson breaks out of all your boxes. His creative vision and sonic momentum set him apart as a singer/songwriter, producer, and actor.

Currently starring as Aaron Jackson on Freeform’s hit series grown-ish, a scripted comedy spin-off of ABC’s award-winning black-ish - Jackson plays a “woke” student activist as well as the on-again/off-again love interest to Yara Shahidi’s Zoey Johnson as she navigates the highs and lows of college life. The cast also includes Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, Jordan Buhat, Francia Raisa, Emily Arlook, Diggy Simmons and Luka Sabbat.

After the release of Rough Drafts Pt. 1 in 2018, which spawned the hit single, "Right Now", Jackson quickly delivered a follow-up for the fans with the release of Rough Drafts Pt. 2 in 2019 via his imprint Born Art/Empire. Leading up to the release, Trevor dropped the pre-Drake Summer Walker remix, "Boys Need Love 2", "Warning" and the seductive "Puddles". With both releases, Jackson showcased major growth and vision as an artist, co-writing and co-producing most of the LPs. He even played guitar on the projects, further demonstrating his musical abilities when creating his art.

To accompany Rough Drafts Pt.1 & 2, Trevor released a multitude of self-directed music videos including, "Tell You The Truth" and hit the road in 2019 for the sold-out 5-city RD2 tour.

Trevor Jackson’s love of the stage and expression of his art through acting dates back to his very first steps into showbiz with a three-year stint as Young Simba in Disney’s Tony Award-winning Broadway National tour of The Lion King. Following that success, he made his transition to television appearing on shows such as the SyFy original series Eureka, CBS' Criminal Minds, Disney Channel’s blockbuster hit Let It Shine, as well as Harry’s Law for which he received the 2012 Young Artists Award in the category of Best Performance in a TV Series Guest Starring Young Actor 14-17.

In 2016, Trevor starred as a series regular on the second season of John Ridley’s Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated drama series American Crime, beside Regina King and Andre (3000) Benjamin. The following year, Trevor played college fraternity pledgee Zurich Condoll in the Netflix original film Burning Sands, along with Steve Harris, Trevante Rhodes, and Alfre Woodard. The film made its world premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.

2018, turned out to be an exceptionally huge year for the multi-hyphenate talent as he led his first feature film playing drug-dealing protagonist, Youngblood Priest in the Director X-helmed remake of 1972 blaxploitation crime film SuperFly, alongside Michael K. Williams, Esai Morales and Big Boi. In 2019, he also guest-starred on Jordan Peele’s critically-acclaimed YouTube series, Weird City.

More recently, Trevor won the 2019 Soul Train Certified Award joining a list of previous winners that includes Janelle Monáe, Raphael Saadiq, and Anderson.Paak. The award is the first trophy/recognition for the budding singer/songwriter and sets the stage as he prepares to release his studio album this year. Along with new music, Trevor is currently working on various film and TV projects! Yes, 2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Trevor that will surely cement him as a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.
