Taajwar Hakem Latimore, known professionally as Thouxanbanfauni, is an American rapper and record producer from Atlanta, Georgia. After quitting his job at McDonald’s, rapper Thouxanbanfauni (pronounced “thousan-ban-faw-nee”) rose from SoundCloud to stardom, inspiring other artists to break themselves independently on the internet.
Fauni released his debut mixtape, Heavy, via SoundCloud in 2015. It features his earliest hit, “Rihanna Wrist.” Later that year, Fauni collaborated with fellow Atlanta rapper UnoTheActivist on For Christ Sake. The single “Parkin’ Lot Pimpin’” helped both artists expand beyond their online communities.
In 2017, Fauni delivered The Exfiles. The standout single “Gorgeous” received a remix from Famous Dex and Rich The Kid, who signed Fauni to his Rich Forever label. His 2020 mixtape CLAIRVOYANCE offered fans a closer look at his relationship with drugs and alcohol. His entrancing lifestyle anthem “AMERICAN MUSCLE” garnered more than 1 million streams across platforms.
