BYZARRA | DIE/ASPORA

BYZARRA (aka DIE/ASPORA aka Cristian Ybarra) is a Minneapolis-based artist, curator, and DJ. Getting their bearings through organizing and working underground parties in the queer MPLS DIY scene, they made their official DJ debut back in 2019. Over the years, BYZARRA has been able to build up a very strong, selective, and versatile ear with a penchant for breaks, house, acid, and electro.

As a resident of @acme_collective, They have been able to explore new territory through art & music while honing in on a very eclectic and individual sound. BYZARRA has been able to contribute greatly to a special club atmosphere in the Twin Cities not only through fresh, sharply curated DJ sets but also with the strong-willed intentions of holding space for often overlooked and underrepresented queer black and brown partygoers, especially on the dance floor.
