Ever since Lidija Āboliņa introduced the Folk Dance Choreography Show at the Cleveland Song & Dance Festival in 1973, it has been a mainstay in US and Canadian Festivals. Creating new Latvian folk dances gives an opportunity for young and old to blend their artistic talents with their experience and understanding of ethnic Latvian folk dance. The audience will have the opportunity to help evaluate the newest Latvian folk dance creations at the majestic Fitzgerald Theater, the oldest preserved theater space in St. Paul.
