Boston, MA five-piece Elizabeth Colour Wheel released its debut full-length, Nocebo, in 2019 via San Francisco-based label The Flenser. Nocebo was mixed/mastered by Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets (The Body, Street Sects).
Formed in 2014, Elizabeth Colour Wheel’s members found themselves around the Boston area while in college. This band was a vehicle for the members to express themselves differently than they had been previously, in volume and depth. The end result is frenetic yet familiar, touching on '90s heavy rock, shoegaze, and black metal — a culmination of their personal and collective influences.
Since their inception, Elizabeth Colour Wheel has shared the stage with numerous bands including Have A Nice Life, Planning For Burial, True Widow, and Cloakroom. Their live performances are loud, unhinged, and “…compelling, taking up every frequency of sonic real estate at one time without losing critical elements of composition to distortion” (Boston Hassle).
