When Earth’s Manplanet embarked on the 2005 Monsters of Space Rock Tour, the local members of its fan club, The Manplaneteers, were ecstatic for their heroes. They were thrilled at the opportunities that were surely abound for their beloved space rock pioneers as they were set to trek across 47 different galaxies and 32 separate dimensions over a period of 10 years.
The Manplaneteers will be rejoicing once again and inputting Stardate: Saturday, December 19th, 2015 into their space-calendars, for it’s just been leaked that the Black Box on the Silver Car - Manplanet’s fabled touring vessel - is all charged up and it’s All Systems Go to head Back To Earth. The exact coordinates will point Manplanet to Minneapolis’ Triple Rock Space Club, where the Twin Cities Local chapter of The Manplaneteers will finally be reunited with their heroes for one special night which is sure to be truly Out Of This World.
Before they embarked for galaxies both known and unknown, Manplanet spent many months on Earth's roads in support of a local punk rock band called The Groovie Ghoulies. They took so much of a shine to its leader, Kepi Ghoulie, that they Kepi-napped and enslaved the poor, energetic sprite. They’ve been harnessing his energy by having him continuously run on the treadmill that has kept The Silver Car's Black Box charged up all these years, letting him out for a mere 30 minutes daily to open for them at the shows. Kepi will return to Earth with the band - as if he has a choice in the matter - and for the first time ever, Manplanet has insisted on being the backing band for him at the Earth show (for selfish reasons). In doing so, the band will provide Kepi with the space rock opportunity that he’d so often dreamed about all these years while distracting himself from the horrors of the treadmill.
