Finding early interest in Hip Hop as western suburbanite Levi considers himself more of a fan of the culture then a member of it. Many years spent in various collaborations has demonstrated the power of the independent artist. He finds that the people and places that hip hop has taken him are truly what make the adventure of music such a great ride. The development of Resinous Recordings has been a way to connect with people in the community and become a contributing member to our flourishing DIY art scene. The name Levi Leviticus comes from his middle name Levi (named after the tribe that followed Jesus) Leviticus, from the book that outlines the laws for the Christian religion. He found it very intriguing how the laws of Christianity can be so obviously outdated and yet so many… well generally the concept is one of those dark star sort of things – his original emcee name was RyeSun – anyway the name is Levi. Levi Leviticus is a truly passionate artist with a voice that is unique and content that can be felt in every verse.
