Fronted by sisters/power team, Hilary and Heidi James, Fiji-13 delivers in-your-face surf punk for the socially conscious citizen. Humor and irony are in heavy rotation in the Fiji tool belt as they spread messages of feminism and social justice over fuzzy guitars. In the two years since their inception, they have sufficiently carved out their slice of the Minneapolis music scene. They were one of City Pages' “10 bands poised to pop” in 2017 and have enjoyed frequent radio play on local college radio station, Radio K. Their second EP, Heavy Breathing was released digitally and on cassette tape via The Homestead Records.
