Eels have announced their new album. The Deconstruction will arrive on April 6, 2018 and follow up 2014's The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett. The new LP was recorded at The Compound in Los Feliz, Los Angeles and The Pie in Pasadena, California and performed by Eels singer-songwriter E (Mark Oliver Everett), Koool G Murder and P-Boo, with the Deconstruction Orchestra and Choir. E also produced the record, alongside Mickey Petralia, who previously worked with the band on 1998's Electro-Shock Blues. Introducing the new album, E said, “Here are 15 new EELS tracks that may or may not inspire, rock, or not rock you. The world is going nuts. But if you look for it, there is still great beauty to be found. Sometimes you don’t even have to look for it. Other times you have to try to make it yourself. And then there are times you have to tear something apart to find something beautiful inside.”
