Raised on the eastside of Saint Paul MN, Omaur's eyes were opened at a young age to music and the joy it brings. On stage before many of us could do long division, he was destined to rock it, and rock it tight. Like many up and coming artists in Minneapolis, Bliss could not help but be influenced by the greats like Stevie Wonder and Al Green, Groundbreakers like Bjork and Squarepusher. Bliss’ sound is gritty underground spoken word in an affair with gospel, soul, and R&B. The result is conscious verses with soulful melodies and a hip-hop and drum n' bass feel.
