Vita.mn presents Yer Cronies Beach Party with YER CRONIES
YER CRONIES
yer cronies (yer_kroh-nees) Spanish Trans: sus camaradas \
1. Cro·ny - a close friend or companion; chum.
2. We grew up in MN, playing in different bands that produced the crops but burned down the shed. We were born a cesarean birth on July 1st, 2007 in a basement on Spring St. We love company and small talk and hope that you'll come to our shows so we can provide each other both. We're playing new tunes all of the time, recording, and not stopping.
3. Brothers that get together and do what they can't not do.
In the spring of 2008 this disc was recorded and engineered and by a high school friend of the bands.
They recorded this disc mostly themselves and in their rehearsal space! Which is located on Spring Street.
"Upon my seeing my first Yer Cronies show I was convinced that this was the best new band in Minneapolis. Now finally getting to hear the record, I'm convinced they're one of the best new bands anywhere. I love the way this sounds."

AL CHURCH AND STATE
"By about the one-minute mark of Al Church And State’s debut album—right when the group’s adenoidal harmonies kick in atop some arena-ready crunchy riffage—it’s pretty clear that Al Church is one big Weezer fan (so much so, he apparently used to front a tribute band to the group). Thankfully, Church’s Rivers Cuomo fixation extends only to the band’s formative adolescent-angst-anthem and sweater-destroying era—no Raditude-styled b.s. here—and doesn’t dominate the entire album.
