JAPANDROIDS
Japandroids (JPNDRDS) is a two piece band from Vancouver, BC. This 'band' started in 2006 as a creative outlet for the post-teenage angst of Brian King and David Prowse. Originally intending to be a trio, the boys decided to forgo the logistical nightmare of having a 'lead singer' and do it themselves. As a consequence, Japandroids are 1 guitar, 1 set of drums, and 2 vocalizers. They call it garage rock. They don't care what you call it, as long as it's not minimal. Japandroids are maximal - a two piece band trying to sound like a five piece band.

GROUPLOVE
Hannah Hooper met Christian Zucconi late one evening on the lower east side of Manhattan. They had both been living in New York for years and had never crossed paths before. But from that night forward the two could hardly be pulled apart. Soon after their connection Hooper was invited to an art residency in Greece on the island of Crete and Hooper insists "without any hesitation" she invited Zucconi to join her on this journey.

The Phoenix Philosophy, 7th Street Entry
THE PHOENIX PHILOSOPHY
The Phoenix Philosophy pushes the envelope when it comes to answering the question: how is rock music evolving in the postmodern musical-landscape? Sonically, the band employs commanding guitars dueled against a potent influence of the electronic, memorable vocal hooks backed against pacing dance beats. The stories told within their songs on the thematic level are those of the relations between individuals—for better, for worse, but often simply stating the darker inevitable.

PINK MINK
By May 2009, guitarists Christy Hunt and Arzu Gocken had fleshed out a new band with Hunt’s husband and Ouija Radio bandmate Charles Gehr on drums and renowned recording engineer Jacques Wait on bass guitar. With almost no time elapsing between conceptualization and execution, Pink Mink started gigging feverishly and winning over audiences with their dynamic stage presence, howling guitar solos, and terse, poppy songwriting.
