We Are Harlot

We Are Harlot just might be the band that saves Rock ‘N’ Roll. The transcontinental four piece are a prime example of how drive, passion and talent can overcome any obstacle, having battled record labels, lawyers and various arms of the music business for four long years to arrive at this moment. Danny Worsnop (Vocals, England), Jeff George (Guitar, USA), Bruno Agra (Drums, Brazil), and Brian Weaver (Bass, USA) share both sonic and personal connections that outshine anything and anyone that crosses their paths.

From dropping jaws with their irrefutable chops to merely existing, the four men of We Are Harlot exude an excitement and unrelenting desire for fun that is infectious. It will only take one night out with these gents to make you realize that you might not be seeing home, school or work for the next few days. But that’s what We Are Harlot are about… escaping the regularity of the rock world.

It’ll only take one listen to the album’s debut track, “Denial” before it becomes crystal clear that We Are Harlot have it all. Their gigantic personalities blast through the speakers from the get-go as Worsnop’s swagger and power commands attention to the tale he is telling. George’s guitar oozes with style and feel recalling the guitar greats of past generations while Agra and Weaver provide the rhythmic flow and backbone for the track as if they shared one brain. It’s no surprise that “Denial” quickly caught the attention of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) who made the track the new theme song to their widely popular Monday Night Raw program.

The first single and album opener “Dancing On Nails” confirms that We Are Harlot are here to conquer with their staggering versatility and breakneck pace. The track merges punk guitars, bombastic beat, and a driving bass line into a sexy, slithering rock anthem. Album standouts, “Dirty Little Thing” and “Someday” again find We Are Harlot fearlessly blasting off into a new stratosphere with power and excitement. After the closing track, “I Tried,” elation and astonishment permeate the air and that is what a band, and indeed music, is all about.

With We Are Harlot’s self-titled debut album slated for release this coming March and countless tour dates scheduled through 2015 and beyond, the world will finally get a chance to experience what real rock music was always meant to be. For some, it’ll be a first. For others, it’ll bring back old memories. For everyone, it’ll be the experience of a lifetime. Are you ready?… Well then... Let’s start the show!
