ÜberScenester are an American alternative rock band based in Minneapolis, Minnesota that were formed in 1998. The band features guitarist and vocalist Matt "Young" Caflisch, drummer Michael "Suade" Newell, bassist Davin "O" Odegaard and guitarist Al "Grande" Sneve. The band grew out of an original rock trio, "J.U.L.P", which featured Newell and Caflisch, when their original bassist Kevin Lian-Anderson decided to take a "break from music." The band's debut album, Shooting Stars (1999), was released on El Basso! records.
