T MIXWELL

T. Mixwell offers her dance floors unconventional concoctions of House, Techno, and Minimal; all stirred into one big melting pot of edgy banging fun.

As a kid growing up on a significant diet of artists like Donna Summer, Temptations, Marvin Gaye, and Chi-lites, as well as Kwame, Earth Wind and Fire, Punk, New Wave, and Rock; T. Mixwell knocked out any preconceived notions of what type of music she would pursue when she followed her path towards her love of Classical Music. It wasn't until her early teens when, by accident, she discovered her passion for House music while listening to her brother play records in his bedroom; soon T. Mixwell found herself going to parties and raves in the mid to late nineties. She got her calling to move from dance floor to DJ booth soon after, and once educated in the basics of holding a mix on a pair of belt-driven Gemini's, she solidified her skills and quickly moved to Technic 1200's; moving forward without a glance back. These days T. Mixwell can be found giving back to her community teaching young girls of 7-15 yrs. old at DJ Camp every summer; playing at events across the U.S., and in the studio honing her production skills.

Never one to sit still, T. Mixwell has taken her Beat Chemistry brand and opened her own booking agency, which oversees the careers of some of the most relevant DJs/Producers in underground house music today. You can find T. Mixwell and her Beat Chemistry brand every Monday on Chicago House FM at 5pm CST, every other Friday on MyHouseYourHouse at 8pm CST, as well as every Tuesday at 12pm CST on Amsterdams Most Wanted, and "SPORK!", her monthly Smart Bar Chicago residency.
