Nik Freitas is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Visalia, California and is currently living in Los Angeles. He has released 4 records since 2002, including 2008's Sun Down which on Team Love records. His most recent recording is an EP, Center of the World, recorded at his home studio that features five new songs taken from recordings that span from February 2009 to the summer of 2010. A self taught musician and engineer, Nik records and plays everything on his albums. He also records other projects at his studio, and has been featured on other artists' albums. Nik has toured his music extensivley and has been the opening act on U.S. tours for Bright Eyes, Rilo Kiley, Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, and Maria Taylor in the past few years. Nik is a member of the live performing band for Broken Bells, as well as Conor Oberst's backing group, the Mystic Valley Band (playing electric guitar in 2008-2009 and had 2 of his own songs featured on their 2009 Album, Outer South).
