Musical Magic! Simply what it is, when these three young innovative artists come together. Pulling on influence from all genres and eras of music, MonoNeon & Whateva The Fyucks (Domi and JD Beck) deliver their own blend of funk, Jazz and dance sounds. There is no-one who does what they do any better. Pure creativity every time.
On bass, MonoNeon's slapping style/technique is unique. He is executing everything upside-down, but still uses the thumb for slaps and fingers for pops. When in a free/improvisational setting, listeners may hear the use of Indian melodic inflections/embellishments in his playing, including the use of gamakas. He has been recognized and played with greats including but not limited to Prince, Marcus Miller, Sheri Jones-Moffett and Ne-Yo. He is a regular member of the high energy Funk/Jazz/Soul band Ghost-Note.
On keys is the explosive DOMi. Buckle in and get ready to feel the heat. With pinpoint precision and sports-car speed on the ivory, DOMi is a pianist, keyboardist and producer with limitless imagination. She draws inspiration from traditional and experimental jazz, groove, classical, hip-hop, gospel, soul to dubstep.
On drums, teen sensation JD Beck is coming out of the musically rich Dallas, TX scene. He has a style that is all his own but rich with inspiration and influence. He is mentored by multi-Grammy winner Robert Sput Searight (Ghost-Note, Snarky Puppy & Snoop Dogg) and Mike Mitchell (Willow Smith & Stanley Clark). It is best not to expect anything from this trio but prepare yourself to be blown away.
