MadeByTerry is an American rap artist from Brooklyn Center, MN. He started out in 2009 posting simple freestyles on his Facebook. By 2010 he had a small following from a song called "Rob 09" where joked he would rob his graduating senior class. After receiving 30+ likes on the freestyle song facebook he knew he was onto a skill that would make his name ring bells.
His style consists of an original Rap feel with a modernized hip-hop sense of catchiness! With a very open minded heartfelt soul to it his sound is Exact(The Truth) NO need for exaggerations and NO room for bluff. If its a love song he puts your heart on your sleeve, if it's a Hipster song then he makes it more Boom Bap type hip-hop with a 90s basement party type feel. Born in 1990, he comes from the '90s though and through. Artists like DMX, Tupac Shakur, Busta Rhymes, and The Pharcyde are all on repetition in the MadeByTerry rhythmic playlist of inspiration as well as Musiq Soulchild, D'Angelo, and Lauryn Hill.
His first original series of freestyles never made internet sites but were passed out through high schools and college classes in Minneapolis. After a huge growth in experience he pushed out his first mixtape with all original material and no Industry beats or Freestyles titled Finally Made It Home. He would go on to perform songs like "No Juice" at many open mics before dropping the single "Finally Did It' which would be the first single to his second and more successful mixtape ..Like I Forgot Something. The mixtape helped him get into array of shows as well as an opening spot for artists like Zoey Dolla$.
Since ..Like I Forgot Something., MadeByTerry has dropped a continuous amount of singles as well as participating in an Open Tour and receiving notable mentions for SoundCloud underrated artist of the month from Prodigy internet radio. MadeByTerry has yet to drop any visuals to match his music but has maintained a two-shows-a-month schedule with much networking and studying the scene of his music genre. MadeByTerry participates in merch giveaways, and open mics where he continues to try out new material, he's steady working on fan growth and development.
