Boston-based electronic pop act Handsome Ghost emerged in 2014 as the project of singer/songwriter Tim Noyes. After transitioning from indie folk solo artist to bedroom creator of downtempo synth pop, Noyes made a splash with Handsome Ghost's first single, the bright and dreamy "Blood Stutter," earning a contract with New York's Photo Finish Records. His first EP, Steps, arrived in March 2015, followed by a lengthy tour.
Over the next year, Handsome Ghost developed into a more fully formed live band, with Noyes always at the helm and developing new material. A second EP, The Brilliant Glow, arrived in 2016, after which the band embarked on a major cross-country tour in support of a trio of new singles. All of this activity led up to the release of the band's full-length debut, 2018's Welcome Back, which included the tracks "Honest Mistake," "Better Off," and "Fool."
