Cosmo Baker is widely considered as one of the top party-rocking DJs on the planet. A master of everything from hip-hop to disco & funk to electronic music, his unique style and spinning prowess is able to bring it all together in a cohesive, and funky manner. This Philadelphia native cut his chops alongside contemporaries such as ?uestlove and Rich Medina, and when he relocated to Brooklyn in the early ’00s he helped found the internationally known DJ / remix collective The Rub. Coming up in the 90s when hip-hop was at it’s purist height, and Philly was one of the epicenters if it, Cosmo was a beacon of flavor and style. Flawlessly being able to shift between genres became his signature style, he pioneered an “everything but the kitchen sink” attitude to mixing that went on to influence a whole school of DJs in the early 2000, including Diplo and Low Budget of Hollertronix. And that philosophy not only applies to his genre-hopping, critically acclaimed mixes but to his live performances as well.
