HotDish introduces “Mixwell House” (Chicago, IL – Community Chest Recordings)! These two ladies are not foreign to banging heads with their unconventional dj sets - blending concoctions of House, Techno, and Minimal. They’re energy is contagious and since this will be their first time playing in Minneapolis, we’ll all be there on the dance floor to ring in the spring with them. Speaking of “duos,” we’ve also invited Minneapolis staples Big Mama J and Patrick James to set it off. You know um…you love um! They have done a ton for house music in the Twin Cities and are now bringing their soulful flair to BLACK. Panties and boxers might drop!

Every Saturday in The Record Room
Saturday nights in the Record Room are thudding with the sounds of the underground while an eclectic mix of party-goers gather downstairs for "Too Much Love." The music upstairs - a fervent big brother to the sounds below - is hosted by techno heads "Particle People," techno/house dynamos "Loud + Clear," and funky house doctors "HotDish." These three crews work collectively to institute a dance-culture favorite in Minneapolis - fittingly dubbed "BLACK" (if you've been in the Record Room, you know why).
