KONKRETE JUNGLE presents THE WORLD OF DRUM & BASS TOUR 2013
After an astonishing rise to fame DJ and production duo The Prototypes have rapidly become the most recognized name among the 'new breed' of drum and bass artists. Accredited as amongst the freshest and most exciting talents to emerge in recent years its no wonder that leading lights 'Shogun Audio' signed them up. With a trademark big room sound support for The Prototypes has come from all areas including Andy C, Friction, Sub Focus, Roni Size, Fresh, Pendulum and more.
Jake Carter, AKA Sub Zero, has been an unstoppable force within drum & bass for almost a decade. After building massive respect and connections within the scene as one half of acclaimed Geordie jump up duo G-Dub, his solo output since 2009 has seen Sub Zero smash out some of drum & bass's most destructive releases, from his tear-out debut 'Spin Doc' to 'Ooh Baby', 'Dodge City' and of course, 'Poon'. Sub Zero has risen to become a major weapon on the Real Playaz/Ganja Records label, and his release schedule for 2011-12 went stratospheric.
Bearing the mantle of ‘the most innovative personality in Drum & Bass’, MC Skibadee has never been one to rest on his laurels; constantly pushing creative boundaries, his high-energy technique has safeguarded his dominance of the MC scene for over ten years, continually surging from strength to strength due to a consistent desire to incorporate fresh ideas in his work. His work on the mic began in 1994, once again indebted to the mighty Kool FM for early exposure thanks to a show co-hosted with DJ Wildchild.
Brace got his start emceeing in 1995 at the age of 17. Originally dubbed MC Duckshot, his name was immediately changed after he broke his neck in an automobile accident and was placed in a halo "brace" for 4 months. He is one of the founding members of the Jungle Vibe Collective aka JVC Crew formed in 1996. JVC was the first D&B/Jungle crew in the Twin Cities Area. They were featured on MTV in 1997 and responsible for some of the most infamous Jungle Raves (Murderapolis, Inside the Ride, Natural Selection, Hi-Jack, ect.) in the Midwest to date.
