HOTDISH presents JESSE SAUNDERS
LAST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH
JESSE SAUNDERS
Jesse Saunders is the architect of what we know as House Music. A Google search produces 4,060,000 results and a Yahoo Search will return an unprecedented 4,250,000 results! His Wikipedia entry is an amazing overview of the worldwide phenomenon known as House Music. Why is there so much information on this man? Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois JESSE SAUNDERS felt the “groove to make people move” at the early age of fifteen. He boasts an extensive record collection dating back to 1974. He says DJ’ing “is in his blood a true DJ never grows out of it. There’s nothing like the rush of controlling the crowd and having them yell for more.”

Hear Ye...all party people of the frozen north: HotDish – that unmistakably Minnesotan hodgepodge of plentiful funky ingredients – is now serving all with a gluttonous appetite. HotDish is both a collaborative of djs (Nate Laurence & J. Matthews) and a Minneapolis-based event crew. HotDish values the diversity of EDM in the Midwest, yet it is our aim to provide a space for – above all else – funky, new-school, and soulful house music in the Twin Cities, which has historically been displaced by the thinning culture of our region. As an event, HotDish showcases talent that is pioneering and unifying – both local and international icons of this genre! Our past events hosted some of the best funky-house parties in the Twin Cities throughout 2006 to the present - with the likes of Terry Mullan, Justin Long, Lady D, Jonn Hawley, Alexander East, Chuck Love, Frankie J, Demitri Max, amongst many...many others.
NATE LAURENCE
If persistence and passion is a recipe for success, Nate Laurence (Minneapolis, MN, USA) characterizes the journey. Nate is the quadruple threat: veteran DJ since 1994, prolific producer, event-coordinator, and label owner.
