Homegrown since 1999, our philosophy is: Why go out if you're going to listen to the same music as everybody else? You can listen to the radio at home. We mix a savory combination of Hip-Hop, Reggae and R&B with old and new skool flavors. We promote local artists and have roots in the Twin Cities music scene. Catch DJ Verb X (Minnesota Music Award Nominee and Ultra Music DJ Competition Finalist), DJ Smash Adams and DJ Phoenix every Thursday at The Bungalow in the Record Room at First Avenue. We're the longest running, independently sustained dance night in area and we're constantly blending new sounds for you to pack yourselves in to the hottest room in the most legendary club and dance to. DJ VERB X
Bungalow's DJ Verb X has been spinning music for more than a decade on the local scene and has won recognition from City Pages and other local publications. A Minnesota Music Award nominee, Verb X specializes in hip hop, reggae and R&B, but his technique is inspired from many different genres and styles and his sets feature old school, new school and burning hot reggae mixes. A pillar of the hip hop community, Verb X has long been a staple in the First Avenue Record Room (formerly VIP room).

I am DJ Phoenix. I am not only your DJ, I'm your Model, MC, Artist you name it, I get it done. As a DJ I have great love for all genres of music. An open mind is an open land of opportunity. The fans are my driving force, and for that I am truly grateful and honored to be in my position. As a Model, I strive to be the best but also not be the norm. My brand is success and greatness only, anything less is not acceptable. Failure is succeeding, just on a different wavelength. As long as that wavelength turns to success and advancement. As a MC, I am the voice, ears, and minds of the people.
