TESTAMENT
UPDATE: Overkill has canceled off this event and will not be performing.
Bay Area thrash metal legends, TESTAMENT, are proud to announce their first U.S. headlining tour since their phenomenal chart success with their new album, Dark Roots of Earth. The trek promises to be one of the best thrash metal lineups in years, with support coming from world renowned OVERKILL and FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, as well as Australian thrashers 4ARM.
"It's a thrill to announce our upcoming dates with OVERKILL and FLOTSAM AND JETSAM,” commented guitarist Alex Skolnick. “It’s a tour that brings together three different metal bands from three different regions: West Coast, East Coast and Southwest. All three bands sound very different from one another yet are highly compatible. All have been around the block (and the world) a few times and all have managed to keep a sound that feels current. This tour will be a 'must see' for fans who remember the early days of thrash/speed metal as well as those whose age is younger than the genre itself."

TESTAMENT
TESTAMENT was one of the first thrash metal bands to emerge from the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1980's. Originally formed as 'Legacy' in 1983 by founding members Eric Peterson (rhythm guitar), Derrick Ramirez (guitar) and Louie Clemente (drums), the line-up included vocalist Steve Souza and Greg Christian (bass). Ramirez was later replaced by wunderkind Alex Skolnick (lead guitar). Souza soon departed to join Exodus and suggested that the towering Chuck Billy take over as frontman. The band became known as 'Testament' 3 years later, while recording their debut album in Ithaca, New York.

Few bands have the capability to survive lineup changes, health crises and over 25 years of rapidly changing tastes, only to come out the other side primed to impress once again. TESTAMENT are one of the few living legends of the thrash metal scene who are able to evoke the same strong emotions as they did in the 80s and who truly grow with each album without abandoning the substance and integrity they are known for. With their newest effort, 2012's Dark Roots Of Earth, they have proven once again that there is no stopping their relentless talent! Whether evoking images of a barren post-apocalyptic landscape or extolling the virtues of the nature’s ultimate might, thunderous prophecy shrouded in monolithic, overwhelming musical power has always been Testament’s domain. With Dark Roots Of Earth, the Bay Area quintet have delivered their most mature, complete and intense collection in 25 years together, nine mind-bending, pit-stirring classics that will instantly crush your skull while also serving a delicious amount of depth and nuance to devour.
FLOTSAM & JETSAM
Flotsam And Jetsam is a Thrash Metal band formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1983. Their debut album Doomsday For The Deceiver is still considered by many as a milestone in the history of the genre. The record released in 1986 propelled original bass player Jason Newstead to international superstardom as a member of Metallica. Not to be outdone, Flotsam then followed up with what some consider to be the most important thrash record of all time, No Place For Disgrace.
4ARM
4ARM are a pure, straight-up Thrash Metal band who since 2004 have been musically distinctive, aggressive and explosive. 2005 saw the band release their debut full length album entitled 13 Scars, which led to a nomination in the top 5 Metal Bands at the 2006 Music Oz Awards. Danny Tomb and Andy Hinterreiter signed national endorsement deals with Randall Amplifiers, Mesa Engineering, ESP Guitars and Dean Markley strings.
