CHRISTIAN JAMES
Utter his name around 17-year-old raver chicks and watch them beam brighter than their glowsticks. This frenzied, bleach-blond bombshell really only detonated amid the congested clique of Minneapolis club DJs a year ago. But he's almost instantly turned the city's head. And while some of the veterans on the scene stick to the tables at a single club, 23-year-old James has freaked feet on dance floors at the Gay 90's and the Quest, and in Warehouse District garages and a Columbia Heights basement bowling alley, too. Beloved for deriving his house sets from quirky acid tracks, fresh vocal cuts, and vintage favorites, James mixes them together almost undetectably in live sets. The same goes for his several mix CDs sold at Vital Vinyl (Minneapolis's dance-music specialty store, with which James is closely affiliated). Of course, half the DJ battle is won through charisma (see: Donald Glaude, Carl Cox), and James has a natural affinity for his role as an entertainer. "I eat, sleep, and shit music, because that's all I know how to do," James declared one night last year after a set. Now if that's not dedication, we don't know what is. DAVE AVID
As co-founder and artistic director of Plan B Recordings, Dave has a reputation for being a passionate fan of electronic music from both sides of the decks. Having the uncanny ability to constantly reinvent himself before his fans, he has been able to form his dark, hard hitting style into a passion driven, face melting experience. Dave is no stranger in creating a dynamic sound using advanced equipment, and having been a dj since 2001, he is well versed in the world of turntables and digital decks. His attention to detail has earned him the respect of his peers and audiophiles alike. Dave's passion, attention to detail, and witty personality are easily seen through his work, both in his idividual tracks and in his performances. If you are fortunate to see him live, the unique energy he brings behind the decks promises you a memorable booty shaking experience.

TIMEFOG
SYSTEM is an event series framed around classic Midwest warehouse style parties from the early to late 90s. Techno to house played by the best performers on a giant sound system in a dark atmosphere with serious intensity. SYSTEM started in January of 2010 in the Record Room of the famous Minneapolis night club First Avenue.

Every Saturday in The Record Room
Saturday nights in the Record Room are thudding with the sounds of the underground while an eclectic mix of party-goers gather downstairs for Too Much Love. The music upstairs - a fervent big brother to the sounds below - is hosted by techno heads Particle People, techno/house dynamos Loud + Clear, and funky house doctors HotDish. These three crews work collectively to institute a dance-culture favorite in Minneapolis - fittingly dubbed BLACK (if you've been in the Record Room, you know why).
CESAR ACOSTA
Inspired by the sounds of Richie Hawtin and and Chris Liebing, Cesar Acosta is one of the fastest up and comers in the Minneapolis techno scene. In only a few short years he has shared the bill the likes of Tony Rohr (New York), Joey Beltram, Luis Flores, Woody McBride, Itzon (Mexico City), Dustin Zahn (Enemy Records), Timefog heads James Patrick and Mike Gervais and Steven Seuling aka Centrific head of Intellephunk and many more.
