Eden began writing what would become their first EP, The Preacher's Wife in October of 2009. The Preacher's Wife was a 30 minute rock opera about obsession, lust, and vengeance. While dubbed a good first try, the band did not feel so and immediately began work on a follow up. A self titled demo was released on March 26th, 2010. It featured seven new songs alongside new recordings of four tracks from The Preacher's Wife. Eden spent all of Summer 2010 writing and recording their first official release, Aerophobia. The album features favorites from their past demos as well as a large array of new material (including a 17 minute epic).
In early November of 2010, Eden received radio play on KAXE Northern Radio which serves Bemidji, Grand Rapids, and much of northern Minnesota and also on Alternative Ames, a college radio station broadcasting at Iowa State. Eden continued to follow a heavy show circuit throughout all of early 2011, primarily through booking agents such as Marcus Roesler of MDR Booking and former First Avenue owner Steve McClellan. In August 2011, Eden announced the title and artwork for their debut release Guilty Pleasure(s). Eden has played countless shows at countless venues across the Twin Cities including Station 4, Wild Tymes, The Garage, Pickle Park, The 400 Bar, and the legendary Fine Line Cafe, a raging success at all of them.
