Featuring Spooky, Trippy, Party Music...
BLACK
Every Saturday in The Record Room
Saturday nights in the Record Room are thudding with the sounds of the underground while an eclectic mix of party-goers gather downstairs for Too Much Love. The music upstairs - a fervent big brother to the sounds below - is hosted by techno heads Particle People, techno/house dynamos Loud + Clear, and funky house doctors HotDish. These three crews work collectively to institute a dance-culture favorite in Minneapolis - fittingly dubbed BLACK (if you've been in the Record Room, you know why).
RYAN SIMATIC
Ryan Simatic exists in the margins of the Techno community. Although he once owned an independent record store, and has been DJing for over 10 years, his gigs are primarily family affairs located in haunts common to fans of Minneapolis electronic music. In addition to techno, Simatic is a law student (you heard right). Study has cut into some of the time once reserved for bass bins, but Simatic still manages to DJ the odd party, record the occasional mix, produce a worthwhile track, and brew a decent beer (his IPA is decent, seriously).
ZWAREMACHINE (Live)
Dark and dangerous individuals known for various stunts including walking through walls, time-shifting, and designing futuristic sonic weaponry. Zwaremachine arrived in an evil analog-powered Raumschiff haunted by the ghost of a robot and responsible for reprehensible crimes throughout the galaxy, It is hiding out on earth in the form of an electropunk. Thoroughly deranged, Zwaremachine will trash your sense of disbelief inside of a minute into the first song and continue to do so all the way through.
